In brief

This guidance is designed to support Local Authorities to provide Severe Weather Emergency Protocol responses in order to prevent deaths of people sleeping rough during winter. The guidance has been updated to take into account Covid-19 and related advice and operating principles published by the Government. 

The heatwave briefing was produced with support from Public Health England in 2020.
